Here is an example using a Cat
Day in the Life of a Cat
The ache in my stomach becomes sharper. The human who feeds me is not getting up. I meow and paw at him. “Get up! Get up!” I want to shout at him. With a lot of groans he gets up. I run to the kitchen and wonder why he doesn’t move with the same speed. Isn’t he hungry too? I lick up my food as fast as my tongue will let me while above me I can hear the humans getting ready. I need to finish eating so they don’t steal my food.
When the action moves downstairs I hide until the pantry door opens. Then I get my extra breakfast and sneer while the dog has to go outside. I nap on the couch so he can see me. Whenever I wake up though he’s nowhere by the door. He’s a dog though so who knows what he’s actually up to.
The sun lulls through the back door. I soak up the extra heat through the window. The one time I want to be outside and no one is around. I nap some more and hope that the dog can see that I’m still inside while he’s out.
The sun ducks behind the hills. Irritated I try to be patient for the humans to come home and dull the constant ache in my stomach. Try as I might to be calm when the first human comes home I rush to the door meowing. She laughs and says something and turns on the tv after letting the dog in. She gives in to his disgusting display and pets him. I perch behind the couch so she won’t forget that I need to eat. Soon.
Finally she gets up and feeds me. Again I lick up the food as fast as possible. Can’t let my guard down around this food. It’s too good. When I’m done I sit by the front door and wait to go out. When the other human comes I bolt out the door.
Outside I’m the master of all I can can see and walk around. No other cats dare cross me and I have the torn ears to prove it. I sit under my favorite little tree and watch the other animals go by. Some little mice catch my attention but it’s cold and I’m ready to go back inside.
No one is by the front door. I have to cry by the back door. The woman lets me in. The house is still cold though so I have to lay on her for warmth. When I warm up I’m too lazy to move so I purr so she knows that I’m happy. She pushes me off just as I’m sleeping. I scoff and sleep on the back of the couch. No need to move too far when I’m still so tired, there’s time for that later in the night.
